The Vietnam Veterans Memorial  Fund wants to build a educational center at The Wall in Washington, D.C., and they are asking for your help.

One thousand forty-nine Washingtonians gave their lives in Vietnam, but to younger generations, they’re just names on The Wall in Washington, DC.  Not enough is  known enough about these heroes.

The Education Center at The Wall will be a place on the National Mall where Washington State (as well as the other states) military heroes’ stories, pictures and sacrifice will never be forgotten.  They are several names of  Yakima Valley natives on The Wall, and the Education Center is looking for their pictures and stories.

Of the 2,709,918 Americans who served in Vietnam, less than 850,000 are estimated to be alive today. More than 285 Vietnam veterans are dying each day .
