Dave’s Diary: Video Queen Obama Girl Not As Excited This Time

In the inner sanctum of President Obama’s advisors there is deep concern about the upcoming election…or at least there should be.  One of the hallmarks of the last election was that millions of seemingly reasonable everyday people went coco for cocoa puffs over Obama.  Remember Amber Lee Ettinger, the woman who earned the nickname “Obama Girl” during the 2008 presidential campaign when she posted a music video showing her affection for the then presidential nominee?  She was the video representative (albeit better built) of national phenomenon.The “Obama Girl” romp became one of the most talked about viral videos on the web in the lead up to Obama’s victory. But with re-election a few months from now, “Obama Girl” has seemingly had a change of heart. The model and actress told The Daily Caller that she is “not as excited as I was the last time, that’s for sure.” Get in line Obama girl, get in line.

Despite the whirlwind of attention she got for professing her “love” for Obama, Ettinger won’t say if she still supports the president. Ettinger thinks the next few months are going to be very interesting. “I’d like to get out there and see what the young voters think about both candidates… I might need to break out my flip cam and take a road trip.”

I for one am looking forward to turning down the sound and watching the show.  It doesn’t matter a lick which side she’s on as far as I’m concerned but maybe it is a sign?
