Victim Recovers After Police Kill Stabbing Suspect

A 21 year old man is in a local hospital and a 27 year old man is dead after a fight and stabbing early Sunday morning in the 11 hundred block of South 4th Avenue. Officers were called to the scene just after 6 am. When they arrived they found the 27 year year old suspect sitting on top of the 21 year old victim repeatedly stabbing him. An officer ordered the man to stop and when he continued to stab the victim the officer fired two shots. The suspect died at the scene. The 21 year old victim was taken to a Yakima hospital after being stabbed multple times. No names have been released.
