The Washington State Patrol identified the victim as 19-year-old Paula M. Lomgtimesleeping.

The woman's home was not released by the State Patrol. Her next of kin were notified by the Yakima County Coroners office on Sunday.

According to reports, Longtimesleeping was struck and killed by two cars at 12:38 a.m. Sunday morning while standing in the one of the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 97 at the intersection of Lateral One Road, two miles north of Wapato.

She was first struck by a southbound vehicle driven by Cameron Charley of Toppenish, and then by another southbound vehicle driven by Graciela Vera of Wapato.

No other injuries were reported. The accident is under investigation.
