Thanks to being inundated by effective radio advertising, I have Valentine's Day covered for my 5 children this year. Not so much for my wife.

I've always prided myself on not being one of those guys who is stuck at the card store at 6:07 p.m. on Valentine's Day, looking over the last few remaining cards, trying to find the exact sentiment for my wife. You know those cards. They're bent up, pawed over, and the envelopes don't match. Yet, there are the other guys that are there at the last minute with that deer-in-the-headlights look, competing for those remaining valentines' cards. Good luck.

Thanks to the effectiveness of radio advertising, I went the Shari's Berries route for my kids this year. That should take care of that. What kid, unless thay have an allergy, doesn't like strawberries and chocolate? Good move, Dad.

I haven't been shopping for my wife yet, but I pretty much have that decided. I started her a Charmed Memories bracelet a few years ago. I asked her the other day if she still had room on it, and she said yes. Eureka! Inspiration! A trip to Kay Jewelers and I'm solid gold!

This is turning out to be easier than I thought!

Still don't have a card yet. Pssh. Not to worry. I have plenty of time!
