The missing Yakima doctor, Jay Sloop, has been missing 11 days now and KIMA-tv reports that Sloop’s relatives say his disappearance in Kiev, Ukraine is now a criminal investigation.

As reported one week ago, Sloop went missing after a surveillance camera showed him entering Zamkova Gora, a heavily-wooded park in downtown Kiev, but the camera never showed him leave the park.

The family’s blog states that the police changed the classification of the case to criminal, had even been upgraded to a state case and that the SBU, which was the KGB years ago, was involved now.

KIMA-tv says the police continue to review the surveillance video from nearby parks that Sloop liked to visit.
