With the upcoming Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Year's holidays being a very food centric time of year, I think it's going to be a tough time for this successful bariatric surgery patient.

Food, glorious food. Our fall and winter holidays are focused on an abundant table, at least in my family.  Be it sweet or savory, old family recipes or something new, it's tough to watch what you eat at this time of year.

People who are at a somewhat "normal" weight can easily pack on a few pounds, and that's something I definitely don't want to do.

Since having had successful Lap-Band surgery last spring, I've lost 120 pounds. My  weight loss has slowed down a little bit, but I feel great, and people tell me I look great. However, I still like to cook and taste, so this is going to be tough. There are so many of my favorite foods that I will not be enjoying this year and in the future, but I've made a commitment both physically and financially to be successful.
