Paragon Films, Inc., a plastic film manufacturer based in Oklahoma, today announced plans to open a new plant in Union Gap. The new facility is located on Bay Street next to Magic Metals and plans to be open and operational by April 2013. Paragon Films plans to hire 15-20 employees initially and the company ultimately expects to have approximately 50 employees at the Union Gap plant.   Mike Baab, Paragon’s President and CEO, states “We are very pleased to announce our plans to locate a new production facility in Union Gap, Washington.  We look forward to becoming a part of the Union Gap community.”

     Union Gap was selected for the company’s third manufacturing facility after a West Coast search was conducted and several communities were evaluated. David McFadden, president of New Vision- The Yakima County Development Association, who worked closely with representatives from Paragon Films to bring them to our Valley, said, “This is great news for our region.  Paragon offers excellent new jobs for our community and their economic impacts will ripple throughout the region.  We have enjoyed working with the company.  Paragon is a positive addition to our business community.”
