Union Gap marks it's founding this coming Fathers Day weekend with the Old Town Days celebration on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. City spokesman Eric Patrick says it's one of the area's longest running events and it's all at Union Gap's Fullbright Park starting Friday. Two bands, American Honey and Vaudeville Etiquette will kick off the event Friday night. Patrick says the highlight at the park is the Civil War camp. Lots of battles are planned for the weekend but he says the highlight comes Saturday night. "The evening battle Saturday night is great. You can see the muzzle flashes and then after the battle a big fireworks show."
Hundreds of Civil War buffs come from all over the Northwest to face off in the classic match-up. You'll also find other activities like the Antique Farm Museum along with craft vendors and food booths.
