Ufo Sightings Are On The Rise Up North, Ay?

Here’s a question you maybe haven’t thought about in a while—or ever! Are we under greater scrutiny today by creatures from outer space?  Maybe they’re here to try to figure out the political primaries?  Apparently our neighbors to the North have seen more UFO’s than usual.  A survey reveals the country saw a general increase in reported sightings last year making 2015 the second highest total in 30 years.

The data shows three or four UFO sightings a day were reported adding up to a total of 1,267 for the entire year. The total ranked second only to 2012 when 1,981 reports were made in the midst of the end of the world prediction based on the Mayan calendar.

A number of reasons are given for the increase: possible increases in military testing, and other objects in the sky, increased ability to share and report sightings due to the internet and even, and even an increased desire by some people to look skyward for assistance due to economic downturn could all contribute to the uptick in UFO sightings.

Don’t forget the first use of the descriptive phrase “flying saucer” was in reaction to a number of unidentified flying objects spotted near Mt. Rainier back in 1947. (UPI)
