Ag tourism is a big draw for visitors from around the state and that is good news to Jim Blonde who, along with his wife, own West Valley U-Pick on Zier Road.

Blonde says that for the past seven years they have been allowing people to grab a bucket and become pickers for a day.

We have people that come out to pick fruit and enjoy the day. We have people who come out just for a picnic. It can be a half hour experience or it can be a 4 hour experience. Whatever you want it to be.

Right now you have a chance to pick cherries and raspberries with blueberries available in July. The farm, located at the end of Zier Road is open every day from 8:00 a.m until dusk.

West Valley U-Pick is one of dozens of you pick farms around Eastern and Central Washington. For a list of farms to visit check out the Yakima Valley Tourism website section called Farm Fresh Fun.
