The Tri-City Herald reports the driver and passenger of a 2003 Volkswagen Beetle were taken to Prosser Memorial Hospital after their car crashed on Interstate 82 Saturday.The passenger Alfonso Arredondo, 49, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car as it rolled over into the median, but the driver Irma Arredondo, 41, was  wearing a seat belt, according to the Herald.

The car was totaled as Irma drove eastbound on I-82, drifted onto the shoulder, and then she over-corrected which caused the car to roll over and hit the median, the Herald states.

The Herald says the Washington State Patrol officials determined the cause of the crash to be inattention.
