Two longtime Yakima residents were recognized Thursday by the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce for the work they do and the difference they make in the community. the Chamber honored Yakima Valley Community College President Linda Kaminski and Radio Sales Consultant Ron King with the prestigious Ted Robertson Community Service Award.  The Ted Robertson Community Service Award started in 1989 and each year, members of the Yakima community are recognized for their outstanding contributions to the city, their leadership, and their achievements. King says he was surprised at the award. “It's an unbelievable honor, I never dreamed I really didn't, I just love this community. I moved here from Grandview in 1967 and I just love this community and I am going to continue to do everything I can to help it,” King said.

Both recipients will be honored on May 22nd at the Chamber of Commerce's annual Black and White Gala at the Yakima Convention Center.
