Toppenish police say two men used a firearm to rob a South Elm Street business early Tuesday morning.

According to an official news release, two men dressed in dark clothing entered the Toppenish Inn at 515 S. Elm St. at about 1:50 a.m. One of the suspects showed a firearm and demanded money from the clerk on duty. The clerk complied and the men fled the scene in a dark-colored BMW with tinted windows.

One suspect was described as a dark-complexioned Hispanic male with a goatee, five feet five inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. The other suspect is described as a lighter complected Hispanic male, about five feet eight inches tall and weighing 210-220 pounds.

Toppenish police detectives are investigating the case. Anyone with information should contact the Toppenish Police Department at 509-865-4355.
