Twin 25-year-old Ellensburg brothers who are in business with their father are accused of trying to kill him in a house fire because they find him difficult to live with and work for.

Caleb and Joshua Bledsoe appeared in Kittitas County Superior Court on Tuesday and were ordered held on $1 million bail pending possible charges.

The Daily Record reports firefighters put out a fire Monday at their home and treated 70-year-old William Bledsoe for smoke inhalation.

The probable cause statement says the brothers told police they set fires in the home the idea the smoke would kill their father. Deputy Prosecutor Chris Herion says Joshua tried to hold the bedroom door shut.

All three worked at Bledsoe & Sons Gutters and Sheet Metal in Ellensburg.
