Twice As Many Celebrity Marriages End In Divorce

Hollywood – the glitz, the glamour, the divorces! Celebrities may seem to have it all, but a new study reveals celebrity marriages are twice as likely to end in divorce

compared to the rest of us..

The Marriage Foundation think-tank looked at star couples who married between 2000 and 2010 and found that 50 percent were divorced by 2014. Their investigation included a total of 488 celebrity couples, and revealed that celebrities are over six times more likely to divorce in the first year of marriage than others.

By contrast, over the same time period of time, 26 percent of marriages of non-celebrities ended in divorce.

Think-tank thinkers say that even while celebs become involuntary, high-profile role models they are false icons who are subject to even greater pressures to separate. In their own domestic lives celebrities experience even more pain and suffering than us regular folks and in this respect at least their lives are not to be copied or envied. (Daily Mail)
