Tule Road Fire Near Toppenish 50 Percent Contained

The Tule Road fire is now 50 percent contained as it continues to burn grass and brush south of Toppenish. Firefighters say the fire is now at 7,000 acres with no injuries reported and no structures lost. Several homes were evacuated when the fire started on Sunday but people have been allowed back into their homes. 200 firefighters are now on the lines trying to fully contain the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
