Tuesday is election day in Yakima County for 4 school districts. Officials in Selah, Highland, West Valley and Sunnyside hoping for support for bonds and levies. Yakima County Auditor Charles Ross says so far about 30 percent of the more than 40,000 ballots sent to voters have been returned. Ross says he doesn't think the snow will impact turnout because you can drop a ballot in the mail or in a drop box.
Drop boxes are located in Sunnyside and Toppenish. The boxes are also at Selah City Hall and Tieton Town Hall. There's also a drop box located across the street from the Yakima County courthouse on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
