True Colors, Adventure, Friendship, LIFE! — Dave’s Diary

SO this is the face of the endgame. An 8,000-mile trip to India for the Holi Festival, or as my daughter Dacotah put it, “The celebration of good over evil and the coming of spring.”

The “coming of spring” sounded kinda cool, but as her dad, the thought of a showdown between good and evil was a little disconcerting. Still, from the photos it looks like the good guys won. It’s like a color run on steroids, or so I’m told and a Google search can confirm.

I can’t wait to hear all the details, but I already know how significant this adventure will be to my baby girl’s growth and to an appreciation of what she has, who she is and what she can become. If you get the chance to cheer your kid on to an adventure, please do. 

They’ll be better people for it and you’ll appreciate them more when they safely return!
