Kit News is halfway to the end of our month long effort to help “Team Sawyer” raise money for the Children’s miracle Network (CMN).  Team Sawyer consists of 3 year old miracle kid Sawyer Maloney and his Mom Brooke and Dad Michael.Sawyer’s story is available on our website at www.newstalkkit.com  but basically he was a premature kid and born without fully developed lungs or the ability to eat normally because he arrived at 32 weeks instead of the usual 40--this go-getter was two months early!

Mom and Sawyer spent the first 94 days together amidst wires and tubes at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Memorial where Sawyer gathered the strength, growth and ability to take his baby show on the road to home.  The Maloney’s know firsthand how important it is to have a hospital like Memorial with the wonderful people and the life saving technology to be able to turn Sawyer’s close call into a happy ending.  Today at 3, Sawyer is all boy and all right.

The community is stepping up to help us too and our goal is 5-thousand dollars.  Last week Akland Pump and Irrigation sponsored our efforts and this week Stan Fortier of Stan Fortier insurance is joining Team Sawyer to help us raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network in Sawyer’s name.  Thanks Stan, you indeed ARE the man!
