A popular Yakima coffee house is on the move as the owner of North Town Coffee says they will be moving into the historic Train Depot Building along North Front St. Saturday.

The shop will now have more available seating, private, reservable space and even enough room for an indoor local foods market. The owner tells KNDO News that he is happy to give people a chance to see the inside of one of Yakima's oldest buildings.

"It's been quite a process. I never dreamed actually I would ever have the opportunity to be in a historic building of this consequence and I'm just absolutely thrilled to have the chance to be here," said Dave Tompkins, the owner of North Town Coffee House.

Tompkins says they will shut down the old location Saturday night. That will allow the new venue to open Sunday afternoon in time for Yakima's Lighted Christmas Parade.
