TRAFFIC ALERT Work On Summitview Tuesday Through Friday

Your commute could be impacted by work in west valley this week. Yakima city crews are working on a sewer extension/installation project on a section of 74^th Avenue for most of each day from Tuesday, September 5^th through Friday, September 8^th.

As a result of the project, the section of 74^th Avenue between Summitview Avenue and 73^rd Avenue will be closed between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm each day from September 5^th through September 8^th.  Detour routes around the project area will be available and will be marked with appropriate signage.  Homes on 73^rd Avenue in the Lincoln Avenue Estates development will be accessible with the project is underway.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.
