TRAFFIC ALERT City Crews Busy Next Week On Fruitvale

Yakima city crews will be busy with a road improvement project next week. The work could impact your commute. It's set for Monday, July 11th through Thursday, July 21st between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm each weekday . It's a grind and overlay project on Fruitvale between 28th Avenue and 34th Avenue and will involve removing old and deteriorated asphalt and replacing it with new asphalt. The inside lanes in both directions along that portion of Fruitvale will be repaved. That means you'll see lane restrictions and slowdowns so you may want to take a different route.
