Toppenish Police In Search Of Suspect In Early Morning Burglary

Police in Toppenish are looking for a burglary suspect that fled a residence in the 200 block of South Gardenia street early Monday morning. Authorities say the 80 year old homeowner suffered a head injury after being hit in the head with a pipe by the suspect during a brief fight in the home just before 1 Monday morning. The suspect was able to escape with a tv set. The burglar apparently broke a window to get into the home.
