A 2-year-old boy is being treated at Children's Hospital in Seattle after authorities found him submerged in a canal in Toppenish on Tuesday. Yakima County Sheriff's deputies were called to the home in the 200 block of East McDonald Road to help search for the missing toddler at about 11:20 a.m. Tuesday. After about 45 minutes they found the boy and pulled him from the canal located near his home. He was quickly taken to a Toppenish hospital where doctors were able to revive the boy and transfer him to Children's Hospital in Seattle where he's being treated Today.
Authorities say the water was high and muddy and the temperature of the water was 43 degrees.
No names are being released.
