The uniform of the day for March 17th is GREEN and that includes the beer. A LOT of beer is going down today across this country on this St. Patrick’s Day. But while the geen beer is ceremonial and celebratory, it may not be too long before we have a beer that will help us from feeling green with disease.
Fox News reports that researchers are closing in on crafting a beer that can actually help fight disease. Stand by Hops producers – be ready to go from hero status to Super Hero status!
Scientists from the University of Idaho say they're studying specific compounds found in hops. One compound called a humulone is thought to have anticancer and anti-inflammatory properties.
