What’s scary is the number of different lists of top Halloween costumes for this year.  Well, here’s another one, submitted for your approval as you seek inspiration for your own costume.

The National Retail Federation's list of Halloween costumes says for kids, the top three costumes this year are action figures and superheroes, a princess (out of the top spot this year where she has resided for the past 11 years) and various animals. Batman fell to number four.     For young adults (18-34) is also an action figure -- specifically a Batman character or villain followed by last year's #1 --a witch. For older adults, the witch is still the most popular, followed by a politically-inspired costume (i.e., Trump, Hillary, etc).
