Here’s a classic music video for your Saturday!

The husband and wife team of Pat and Barbara McDonald formed the group Timbuk 3 in 1984. They released their first album in 1984. Timbuk 3 was unique in that the group consisted of just two people, and that they used both traditional and electronic instruments in their music. For instance, the McDonalds used electronic drum tracks that they programmed as their rhythm section.

Timbuk 3 had only one charting single in their career, and the accompanying video is one of the strangest you’ll ever see. The song itself has the lyrics and hook that will stay with you.

From Timbuk 3, this is “The Future’s So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades”.

Enjoy!
