Thursday Morning Fire Destroys House

KNDO

Fire investigators are looking for the person who started a fire in an abandoned home early Thursday morning on South Naches Avenue.

It is the same home where another suspicious fire was reported last year.

Capt. Tom Schneider says the fire was reported at about 4:00 a.m. on the corner of South Naches and East Walnut Street. When firefighters arrived, crews saw the building fully engulfed in flames.

The building is a house that was converted into a duplex and was already abandoned and boarded up after a fire ripped through it in October.

Firefighters also said that fire was caused by arson.
