Three New Deputies Start Careers In Yakima

Three people begin their law enforcement careers in Yakima County Today.
The Yakima County Sheriff Brian Winter is swearing in Chris Bertomeu, Jesus Silva, and Joel Panattoni.  Winter says the ceremony is the official beginning of the three new law enforcement officers new careers.  The swearing in ceremony was held at the Yakima County Sheriff's office earlier today.

Sheriff's officials say the hiring of the three deputies is part of a larger plan to hire more deputies over the past two years. They say retirements and other openings have made the hiring of the deputies possible.
