Three Different Fires In One Afternoon Keep Firefighters Busy

Yakima firefighters were extremely busy on Wednesday after three separate fires started in less than an hour. Fire officials say the fires stretched resources in the heat of the day.

The first was a house fire that was reported at about 2:30 in the 900 Block of Conestoga Boulevard. Moments later, a call came in about a large brush fire in the area of Pecks Canyon Road and Scenic Drive.

Then, about 5 minutes, later the third fire -- a house fire in the 600 Block of South 25th Avenue.

All the fires are under investigation. No injuries were reported.
