This Day In History- Ed & Bob Bid Us Adieu

This day in history saw the curtain come down on a couple of iconic TV careers – boob tube time that played a big part in the formative years of the baby boomers.  The first was in 1971 when Ed Sullivan said Good Night for the last time on June 6^th.  What a collection of talent and future superstars he brought to America’s attention!  He loved us yah, yah, yah!

Then 36 years later to the day, Bob Barker urged us to have our pets spayed or neutered for the last time as his time on the Price Is Right was through in 2007.  Come to think of it, the pets were probably happy to see him go!  Drew Carrey shed the weight and now carries the weight of being the host of one of the coolest TV shows ever.
