I recently read an article about things you hear only in Seattle and things you never hear in Seattle. I thought of a few things that you probably will never hear in Yakima. Some of things you never hear in Seattle include: "Just a cup of black coffee, please." Or, "Think the Mariners will make the playoffs?" Maybe "Paper or plastic?"

Here are some things you will never hear in Yakima:

"Did you remember your umbrella?"

"I just love our traffic roundabouts"

"You just can't buy a good apple here."
