A West Valley man's investigative work helped Yakima County sheriff's deputies make an arrest on Saturday.

Someone broke into the man's shop early Friday morning and stole several items including tools. He then found one of his stolen items on Craigslist and called the Sheriff's Office. A deputy went to the business that had purchased the item. The business returned the item to its owner and was able to give a good description of the person who sold it.

Based on that information, deputies were able to identify the man and find him in the West Valley area.

A search warrant turned up most of the Friday victim's property as well as other stolen items from another burglary in the area. Deputies arrested the suspect into the Yakima County Jail on felony charges of possession of stolen property and trafficking stolen property.
