Fire victims in White Swan say they're overwhelmed by the generosity of people in the Yakima Valley. Thousands of donations of everything from cash to food and clothing and household supplies have come in truckloads to the small community. Even the owner of the Days Inn hotel in Toppenish is reaching out. Peter Nam says he knew he had to do something when victims started showing up at his hotel on Saturday. It didnt' take nam long to make the decision to allow the victims to stay for free. Nam, who spoke to our news partner KIMA Action News says despite a tough economy he, like so many others in the Valley knew that he needed to help. the cost of a room is about 1 hundred dollars a night. Nam is giving away 3 nights free to any White Swan fire victim.
