The Old Boise Cascade Mill Caught Fire

kima-tv
No homes are in danger but Yakima Firefighters are battling a blaze at the old Boise Cascade Mill along I 82. The fire started earlier today possibly in a bark pile and was spread by high winds. Fire officials say it will take a while before the fire is contained and investigators can search the area. No injuries have been reported. And it’s not yet clear what’s on fire.

It’s been months since firefighters had to battle flames at the property. But a series of fires on the property in 2010 kept officials very busy. The fires forced the city to force the property owner to take specific action to prevent the fires from happening.
