While there are no guarantees the United States will mirror these results, past flu outbreaks in Australia have been a good indicator of what we can expect here

 The influenza vaccine is recommended for everyone age 6 months and older, unless your physician has diagnosed a health condition that may preclude it or you are allergic to an ingredient in the vaccine. Egg-free vaccines are available for people who are severely allergic to egg products. Ask your doctor if you have any concerns about whether the vaccine is appropriate for you.

 

Ideally, you should be vaccinated at the start of the flu season in October to maximize your protection. However, it’s better to be vaccinated late than never. Our flu season usually peaks between December and January
