The Carousel Restaurant and Bistro is under new ownership, and they have a new chef and big plans for the future for this best-kept secret at 25 N. Front St. in the old Opera House.

This Friday you can get in on a whale of a deal. (No, they don't serve whale, but they have a lot of great seafood) Starting at 8 a.m., we'll have a limited number of $50 Carousel gift certificates for just $25. They SHOULD go fast, so be ready!

We had lunch there last week and it was marvelous. The appetizers, salad and soup were delicious. My friend had the duck and I had the steak and we shared. Both were killer good! Topped off by cherries jubilee for dessert! The chef came out for a visit and we spent a lot of time hearing about their exciting plans for the future.

The atmosphere is great and the people couldn’t be nicer.

I had never been there before … but you can be sure I’ll be back because the deal of the week is open to me, too! Hope to see you there!
