Imagine spending a whole weekend in December weather sleeping outside in a cardboard box. That's just what Yakima's David McKinney did in this year's edition of "Operation Tin Cup" which stands for "Those In Need, Can U Pitch in?".

McKinney  collected cash, food, and toy donations for the Salvation Army and Union Gospel Mission. Over $13,000  was raised and 14 apple bins of food collected.

"It feels great to be able to help those people that really need our help the most... during the cold weather, particularly, at Christmas time," McKinney said.
