The twentieth annual Yakima Youth Awards will be awarded on April 8 at Davis High School. Those honored will be individual young people, ages 5-19, deserving recognition in the following categories: Arts; Business/Enterprise; Civic/Community Service; Family Life; Leadership; and Personal Achievement.  There will also be a Small Group Category (up to 9 members) and a Large Group category (10 or more members).

Patti Nagle, co chair of the Yakima Youth Awards, was a guest on Thursday's Mike Bastinelli show. She talked about the awards' purpose and how they recognize some of the outstanding young people in the Yakima Valley.
