Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital Wins National Hospital Charitable Award for Children’s Village
Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital has been awarded a national Hospital Charitable Service Award for Children’s Village, a program sponsored by the hospital that works with special needs children to offer coordinated care.
The Children’s Village works to enhance the integration of health and other services for the extremely vulnerable population of children with special health or developmental needs and their families in central Washington State. Using a model of community engagement, the program – which is housed at a facility where community partners come together to provide a broad range of needed services - provides care for more than 3,800 children annually.
