The interviews will be held at the Yakima School District Central Services building located at 104 N 4th Ave.

Yakima Police say threat calls were also made to other schools around the state and the country.

Earlier this week the association voted to authorize a strike if the school board doesn't provide a larger teacher salary increase offer. School starts Monday. Talks continue Friday afternoon.

The teachers want the school board to offer better increases in pay. The union represents teachers and certified staff.

The District has offered a 3.3 percent cost of living increase. Teachers contend the proposal doesn't meet the minimum state requirement for base salaries for teachers in the Washington State.

It's part of school safety program funded 100% by food service company Sodexo Incorporated.
