Firefighters Making Progress on Central Washington’s Wildfires

Cascade Creek Fire Expands to 8500 Acres

Smoke from the Cascade Creek Fire on Mount Adams shot 17,000 feet into the air yesterday.  That fire has grown to 8500 acres.  The flames are moving toward the landmark Gotchen Creek Guard Station

Search For Missing Seattle Doctor On Mt. Adams Resumes Today

He hasn't been identified but search crews from the Yakima County Search and Rescue unit are looking for a missing 55 year old Seattle doctor on Mount Adams. Sgt. George Town from the county sheriff's office says the doctor and a friend were hiking Sunday in an area of the mountain known as the lunch counter
