Last Monday two Yakima brothers were run over by a man who police say was high on drugs. Today they are recovering. Ten-year-old Christopher Sanchez is out of the ICU and now in satisfactory condition, according to Harborview Medical Center

Bail has been set at a half million dollars for 32-year-old Benjamin McKenzie, the man arrested in Monday's crash that injured two young brothers. McKenzie faces two charges of vehicular assault after police say he was on drugs when he struck the brothers at a Yakima intersection Monday morning

Two Brothers Struck by Car, Driver Arrested

Two brothers, ages 10 and 11 remain in the hospital today after being struck by a car at the intersection of King Street and Rock Avenue around 8:30 Monday morning. Yakima Police Captain Rod Light says the driver, identified as 32-year-old Benjamin McKenzie was under the influence of drugs and was traveling northbound on rock avenue when he struck the two brothers in the intersection
