Suspicious Fire Leaves 10 People Homeless

Yakima firefighters were called to a house fire in the 200 block of S Naches Ave. at about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday night.

Six adults and four kids who were living in the home were outside and unhurt when firefighters arrived. They are being helped by the Red Cross today.

Officials are considering the fire suspicious. Investigators say there are no accidental causes and the fire started outside of the home.

Anyone with information about the fire are asked to call the Yakima Fire Department at 575-6060. Damage is estimated at $90,000.
