• The fourth suspect in a Harrah murder case appeared in juvenile court Tuesday where bail was set at $100,000.

    Deputies say 17-year-old Carlos Johnathan Hernandez was one of four people who wanted to buy marijuana on Saturday. After an argument, two of the suspects shot 32-year-old Charlie Burkybile several times in the chest.

    Deputies were looking for Hernandez until he turned himself in Monday night. Bail is set at $1 million each for three other adults being held in the case.

  • The Yakima County Coroner says a 78-year-old realtor died Sunday from injuries he received in a brutal attack last May.

    The coroner says Vern Holbrook died injuries related to severe head trauma. Yakima County Sheriff’s Deputies say four people conspired together to have the older man killed.

    The Yakima County prosecutor says current charges will be upgraded to first degree murder.
