WORLEY, Idaho (AP) — A man suspected of killing a 2-year-old girl in Washington state has been arrested at a summer cabin in Idaho.

Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says deputies on Tuesday found Jason Obermiller holed up at a cabin on Lake Coeur d'Alene near Worley.

The cabin owner called authorities to say her neighbor reported a suspicious person at her cabin. Deputies found a white SUV that had been reported stolen parked in the driveway. One of the deputies recognized Obermiller from police bulletins and took him into custody.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Kootenai County Wednesday to face extradition back to Washington.

Obermiller is suspected of killing Adalynn Hoyt in Spokane County on Sept. 13. Citing court documents, KXLY-TV reports the girl's mother told investigators she left the toddler and her other children with Obermiller, her ex-boyfriend, while she went drinking.
