I am disappointed.  Extremely disappointed in the Supreme Court.  I have been disappointed before and I'm sure I will be again - most people are at one point or another.

Roe V. Wade, Heller Decision, Gay Marriage, Citizens United, The Environment, Health Care,  and the Death Penalty to name a few--.  there's plenty there to anger both sides of aisle of  the political spectrum and some out in the waiting room too!

But this one hurts more and it comes with a ridiculous price tag that some critics seem glad the city will now be forced to pay.

I gave a rant on the radio Monday morning but I'm not sure how much sense it made.  The decision was brand new and I didn't have any time to process it.

True confessions - I'm a stress eater and this was so stressful that I actually had to drive to Ellensburg for lunch to get a Wendy's burger!  I needed the taste of my favorite and the hour+ round trip to process and to listen to my all-time  road tunes to calm down!

The email function of my two computers at work are down so I couldn't even fight and argue about it with people calling me out on the Herald website!

There is still much to be said about the decision and what is does and doesn't mean for Yakima.   I'll pull it together tomorrow.

Since it is a decision we'll live with,

it's important to clarify some of the misconceptions and misinformation about the ACLU case from the get go.  Stay tuned.  My blood pressure should be back to normal tomorrow....nah, probably not.
