Add former United States Senator and Washington Attorney General Slade Gorton and former Attorney General Rob McKenna to the list of supporters of immigration reform. They recently joined 112 past and present Attorneys General in letters to congressional leaders urging passage of comprehensive immigration reform.  "These letters underscore two key principals of the Washington Compact," said Mike Gempler, Executive Director of the Washington Growers League.  "Immigration reform is vital to law enforcement and public safety, and immigration reform enjoys strong support from both Democrats and Republicans."   "Slade Gorton and Rob McKenna are two of the most respected leaders in Washington State," said Rich Stolz, Executive Director of One America. "  "We thank them for adding their voices to the crucial debate."  The Washington Compact is a set of five principles regarding immigration reform, and is supported by leaders from Washington state's business, faith, agriculture, law enforcement, and agriculture community leaders.  Members of the  Compact Coalition continue to gather support, and continue to make the case for reform to Washington's congressional delegation.
