A local church and a local business have teamed up with a church in Monroe Washington to help victims of hurricane Harvey in Texas. Pastor Brian Jennings at Breakthrough Church in union gap and espresso express in Yakima have partnered with the rock church in Monroe to gather supplies for those in need. Jennings says they're collecting supplies through Noon on Friday. Supplies will be driven to Houston Texas on Saturday by members of the Rock Church. "It's a big trailer and they may rent a diesel truck because there's so much stuff coming in."
Jennings says he knows several church leaders in the Houston area and has been in contact with them talking about what they need.
They're looking for donations of water, cleaning supplies and baby supplies like diapers and wipes. You can take your donations to Espresso Express at 3706 Tieton Drive or Breakthrough Church at 1220 Business Parkway in Union Gap. Supplies are being collected until Noon Friday.
